Aus dem Rahmen fallen
Voll besetzt war die Werkstatt im Klavierhaus Labianca. Zu Gast war der Maßschuhmacher Matthias Vickermann und Schuhmacherin Lisa Haag. Die Gäste tummelten sich zwischen aufgeschraubten Klavieren, Tastaturen, Lederproben, Schuhen in Fertigung, Spezialwerkzeugen und Klaviermechaniken.
Aus dem Rahmen fallen stand auf der Einladungskarte. Ein moderiertes Gespräch mit Claudio Labianca, Matthias Vickermann und Dr. Simon Moser stand im Zentrum des Abends. Lisa Haag und Klavierbauer Simon Schmieder arbeiteten im Anschluß an Schuhen, klebten Hammerköpfe und standen für Fachfragen zur Verfügung. Daniel Schienle spielte gekonnt Klavier und vermittelte Eindrücke vom einzigartigen Klang der Steinway Instrumente.
Was haben Schuhe und Flügel gemeinsam?
Das fragten sich einige der exklusiven Gäste und erhielten in besonderer Werkstatt-Atmosphäre tiefere Einblicke in zwei traditionelle Handwerke. Das verblüffende daran: Beide verfolgen ähnliche Prinzipien im Aufbau ihrer Produkte, der Oberflächenbehandlung, dem Umgang mit Materialien, der Nachregulierung und der Spannungsverhältnisse.
Ganz gleich ob der Holzrahmen des Flügels (Rim) und der eingefügte Resonanzboden oder der Lederrahmen des Schuhs (Kuhbogen) mit der Brandsohle - sie bilden das 'Herz' des Produktes, das in beiden Fällen sehr sensibel reagieren und gleichzeitig hohen Belastungen standhalten muss.
In einem unterhaltsamen Gespräch wurden die vielfältigen Facetten und Parallelen herausgearbeitet und einem aufmerksamen Publikum an vielen Modellen veranschaulicht. Ermuntert von der lockeren Atmospähre fragten Gäste immer wieder interessiert nach - der Beginn eines sehr anregenden und kommunikativen Abends, bei dem man untereinander vielfältig ins Gespräch kamen.
Von zahnlosen Krokodilen und klingenden Schafen
Ob die Verarbeitung von hochglanzpoliertem Krokodilleder, nach strengen Richlinien des Artenschutzes, die Verwendung von speziell verdichteter Wolle für die Hammerköpfe in der Klaviermechanik, der mehrschichtige Aufbau im Schuh oder im Stimmstock, die Verwendung von Schmuck-Ledern oder Furnieren - zentral ist die Materialauswahl und - behandlung. Sie schaffen die Einzigartigkeit in Klang, Haptik bzw. Tragekomfort.
Und das erfordert Erfahrung und Fingerspitzengefühl. Die Gäste konnten sich davon selbst ein Bild machen, als sie später Gelegenheit hatten, Lisa Haag und Simon Schmieder bei der Arbeit über die Schulter zu schauen, Fragen zu stellen und Materialien und Werkzeug selbst anzufassen, um so das Handwerk wahrsten Sinne des Wortes 'zu begreifen'.
Fazit des Abends
Wenn Klavierbauer Claudio Labianca (Offenburg) und Maßschumacher Matthias Vickermann (Baden-Baden) gemeinsam aus dem Rahmen fallen, dann heißt das in Zeiten von Industrie 4.0, digitaler Technik, hochentwickelten Werkstoffen und austauschbarer Maßenware ein klares Bekenntnis zu traditionellem Handwerk in höchster Perfektion, sorfältig ausgewählten natürlichen Materialien, kompromissloser Kundenservice und ausgeprägte Sensibilität für Stil und Individualität.
Aus dem Rahmen fallen - Veranstaltungskonzeption und Moderation übernahm simonmoserkultur.
